How Bower Counseling handles information you share through this website. Your therapy records are covered separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices.

This policy covers this website only. How we protect your health information as a client is explained in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
What we collect
When you fill in a form, we receive what you type: your name, email, phone number, preferences such as format and payment, and any message.
Our website host collects basic technical data when you visit, such as your browser type, the pages you view and an approximate location based on your IP address. We use it to keep the site secure and working.
Please don’t send health details
Website forms and email aren’t meant for clinical information. Please don’t include symptoms, diagnoses or other health details. We’ll talk through what brings you in on a call, and anything clinical is then kept in our secure records system.
How we use it
We use the information you send to reply, set up a free call, suggest a therapist and run our practice. We use technical data to keep the site secure and to understand which pages are useful.
We don’t use advertising pixels, we don’t build marketing profiles and we never sell your information.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work. Visit statistics come from our website host and don’t use advertising cookies. If we ever add a tool that sets other cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the practice, such as our website host and email provider, under agreements that limit how they use it. We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you don’t become a client, we delete form messages within 12 months. If you do become a client, the information moves into your clinical record and is kept as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold from the website, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email hello@bowercounseling.example and we’ll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
Children and teens
This site isn’t directed to children under 13. Parents or guardians can contact us on behalf of a teen who would like therapy.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you send. No website is completely secure, which is another reason we ask you not to send health details through it.
Changes and contact
